As the Regional Manager, you will be working with a diverse group of external stakeholders to provide innovative leadership to support positive and measureable impact for patients in the region. The role is responsible for working to achieve the goals of the Regional Cancer Program Strategic Plan, and the Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) Cancer Plan 5. The Regional Manager will work with four regional hospital partners across ten sites, (Halton Healthcare, Headwaters Health Care Centre, Trillium Health Partners, and William Osler Health System), and other external stakeholders including Independent Health Facilities (IHFs), Ontario Breast Screening Sites (OBSP), Ontario Health - Cancer Care Ontario (OH-CCO), Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs), and Primary Care Providers to drive positive improvements and innovative approaches in meeting Quality and Performance Metrics.Accountabilities:Facilitate cancer service capacity planning within the Regional Cancer Program and as part of province-wide cancer planningManage the Primary Care Outreach strategyBe the key contact for internal and external stakeholders as it relates to the Primary Care Outreach strategyManage the strategy to identify opportunities for standardization in referral processesLead a team to work with OBSP sites, including IHFs, in the region to manage wait times and identified quality improvement opportunitiesManage key prevention and health promotion strategies including the smoking cessation projectUnderstand barriers to access to care and support the team in the identification of strategies to overcome the identified barriers, to optimize population healthWork with the cross functional team to ensure all Quality Improvement Initiative deliverables within CCO funding agreements are metWork with the Regional Leads and Regional Partners to monitor and improve wait times and quality indicators for patients, where primary care has a roleProvide leadership and oversight to implement patient experience initiativesEnsure the patient voice is reflected in quality improvement initiativesDevelop an effective framework for KTE events across the regionLead with a focus on understanding key factors affecting health equity and the social determinants of healthProvide oversight to ensure CCO communications are analyzed and distributed to team members accordingly, for appropriate actionProvide leadership with a focus on quality improvement, analysis and performanceCommunicate and engage with regional partners, as indicated, to facilitate robust relationships focused on optimizing a quality approachQualifications:Master’s degree in a health related fieldCertification/registration in a relevant health profession requiredClinical background with Oncology experienceAt least 5 years of clinical operations leadership experienceChange management skills and experience a strong assetKnowledge of quality improvement, financial practices and risk management principlesDemonstrated leadership, excellent communication, decision making, and problem solving skillsDemonstrated ability to think strategically and implement sophisticated programs and initiativesDemonstrated commitment to Quality Improvement and Performance Metrics, must be results and outcomes orientedAbility to manage multiple sites and program components, and prioritize competing requirements in a dynamic environmentDemonstrated strategic leadership, collaboration and influencing skills in a complex, high volume, fast paced environmentAbility to build effective relationships and work productively in multi-facility environmentDemonstrated understanding of systems and strategic planningInternal employees who believe they possess the necessary qualifications and experience for this position and who have been in their current position for at least six (6) months are encouraged to apply.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
