  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions
  • Identify, investigate and resolve of security incidents / breaches detected by those systems.
  • Help evolve THP’s security policies and procedures to stay aligned with the security industry best practices. Develop and improve internal processes, policies, standards, baselines to manage information security hospital wide
  • Participate in initiatives related to the remediation of security weaknesses or information security solution implementation
  • Review security reports from various security technologies (security information and event monitoring (SIEM), next-generation firewalls, advanced endpoint protection technology, vulnerability assessment reports, cyber security reports, audit reports, access privileges, etc.) to identify violations, intrusion attempts, or security weaknesses
  • Help mature THP’s culture of security by developing security awareness training materials and assisting the development of a security awareness program
  • Provide advice and apply your experience to help tune alerting to reduce false positives
  • Provide recommendations and guide development and operations team to address security weaknesses and identify potential new security solutions
  • Participate in the implementation of new security solutions and conduct security product research and assess their appropriateness for the organization
  • Produce report and presentation deliverables with attention on content as well as format
  • Perform security incident investigations and document findings/root causes
Qualifications:Our ideal candidate must have...
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and at least 3-4 years equivalent work experience.
  • Preference is given to Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP – Certification)
Consideration may be given to one or more of the following certifications:
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Associate of (ISC)2
  • CISSP in place or in progress
  • SANS GIAC Security Essentials
  • Proven experience with security software – SIEM, next-generation firewalls, next generation anti-virus technology, anti-virus, intrusion detection, event monitoring, forensic analysis is required.
  • Working technical knowledge of IT technical environments with a strong understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols. Must demonstrate understanding of Windows, UNIX, and Apple operating systems.
  • Familiarity with clinical based applications is preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders including subject matter experts and strong analytical and problem solving skills are required for this role
Location:We offer employees, in roles that are conducive to remote work, the flexibility and the right mix of remote and in-office work (approximately 80/20).
