Job Description

Melrose Paving a mid-size (and growing!) construction company, located in the heart of Mississauga, is looking for a Shop/Fleet Coordinator to join their team! Reporting directly to the Shop/Fleet Manager, this position demands someone who is organized, self-directed, self-motivated, has the ability to multi-task and has a solid understanding of shop and fleet management.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directs the supply of parts to shop mechanics
  • Directs the operations of the parts department in order to maintain appropriate inventory
  • Ordering of parts to ensure adequate inventory
  • Work closely with equipment vendors to learn the maintenance requirements of new equipment added to inventory
Other Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all activities related to the management and maintenance of the company fleet; vehicles and equipment
  • Maintain a current fleet database, recording all vehicles inspections, maintenance and repair history
  • Maintain the fleets preventative maintenance schedule
  • Ensuring the companies fleet requirements for applicable certificates and licenses are in place
  • Other duties as required
Work Conditions: · Blend of office environment and field work· Blend of indoor and outdoor work; in all weather conditions
  • Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
Experience & Qualifications: · 3-4 years fleet management experience· Strong experience with parts inventory management· Experience working in trucking and equipment industry· Strong computer skills· Valid G driver’s license· Must have flexible availability· Must be able to undertake task that involves pushing or pulling, stretching, lifting, bending and working above or below shoulder height· Must be able to lift between 20 – 60lbs· Must be able to work inside and outside environments· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skillsCompany Perks: · Permanent full-time position· Competitive compensation· Health Benefits & RRSP· Paid holidays and vacationJob Type: Full-timeWork remotely:
