This involves working effectively with the Cloud Engineering team, its architects & solution experts, cloud service providers, third-party consultants and those in the other Air Liquide (AL) Hubs (Europe, Middle East/Africa, & Asia). The role will work as part of the Cloud Services Automation and Reliability Team, conducting daily systems administration work, supporting the environments and works as part of a team of administrators including vendor and third party resources.The SE is also in charge of developing, extending & maintaining scripts, security configurations, and automation tools to ensure rapid deployment of services in accordance with business needs and company standards.This role also engages in efforts to support, resolve & document issues that arise in the environment, which may include reviewing designs & recommending improvements to the architecture.The geographical focus of this role is the Americas Hub however with the ability to foster collaboration with GCS teams across the AL Hub’s in order to promote convergence and improvement of standards, processes and best practices.ResponsibilitiesDeliver public cloud architecture, deploy and support Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions (primary) & Azure (limited / secondary scope) using the best practices set forth by AWS, AL, and industry standards with a strong emphasis on standardization and reusabilityCollaborate with cloud experts in the other AL Hubs to support the cloud architecture and AWS services roadmap for AmericasUnderstand and document the technical requirements for new services or service enhancements.Contribute to set-up a Global Product Management organization, with primarily Product around Landing ZoneReview & provide input on proposals from an architectural perspective, including feasibility, practicality, technical viability, consistency & solution costsSupport the overall architecture design & implementation, ensuring it meets requirements & performance goalsAdvise on technology decisions & provide service implementation estimatesCompetencies and ProfileContribute to the performance and availability of the platforms through database administration and maintenance and evolutionSupports the patching and upgrades of systems and operating systems in the environmentLead the Troubleshoot of IT systems and coordinate problem resolution between teams.Contribute to set-up of a Site Reliability Engineer organization focusing on enhanced L3 servicesimplementation of integration chainsparticipation in the architectural designs of platforms, as well as into the go-to productioncontribution to the definition of the service in coordination with the others team membersparticipation in the development of services, and exercise a level 3 role concerning the resolution of incidents/problemsParticipate in weekend and after-hours maintenance, project work, and troubleshooting as requiredAdhere to AL ITIL change management processExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other relevant area (or equivalent experience)3 to 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure in large multinational companiesFluency in English and in French mandatory, Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.Knowledge and know-how specific to the positionIn depth knowledge of AWS solutions with 2-5 years of exp in deploying AWS solutions in a complex environment (multi-regions, high availability, scalable).
