Specializing in immersive motion picture technologies, our employees are driven by a passion to take audiences around the world to places they’ve only dreamed of.Come explore IMAX – where innovation, creativity and passion come together.Required SkillsWhat you’ll be doing:Working under the guidance of the Manager of IT Infrastructure, the Windows Systems Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance and support of systems hardware, system and application software, and associated virtualized infrastructure.What you’ll be doing:Planning and executing updates and upgrades to Microsoft server platforms.Deploying server updates using tools like Ivanti Management Console and Security Controls.Using your hypervisor knowledge and experience performing VSphereVMware and Nutanix PrismAHV administration.Interacting with networks on a basic level that requires and understanding of vLANs, VOIP systems, and basic switch configuration.Working with Microsoft Windows server performing DNS, DHCP, AD, GPO administration, and basic Linux administration tasks.Reviewing system and application logs to identify potential issues with application systems.Racking and Stacking new hardware and removing and decommissioning end of life systems.Documenting the configuration of new and existing systems.Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, networks, systems and key processes, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.Working with monitoring tools like Solar Winds and Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager(SCOM).Perform backup administration using software tools such as Veeam and Backup Exec.Using PowerShell scripting to automate repetitive tasks.Responding to audit requests for systems management information.Trouble shooting tier 2 and tier 3 systems and user issues.Contributing to the development of operational improvement plans.Apply your cloud skill set with Office 365 administration including: MS Exchange, Azure, SharePoint and other cloud initiatives.Apply your knowledge of physically attached(SAN) and network attached storage(NAS) systems as you turn up new systems or work to optimize existing ones, such as EMC VNX and Isilon.Apply any hyper converged / SDDC experience to administrate and improve our virtual environments.What we’re looking for:University or college degree with a technical major such as engineering or computer science or equivalent in certifications and years of work experience.5 years+ of Information Technology systems administration/engineering in an agile environmentProven experience in building environments from installing windows-based infrastructureStrong understanding and technical working experience in domain administration and disaster recovery strategies; understanding network features is considered an assetExperience in managing and deploying cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP)Microsoft, VMware and Nutanix certifications are a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Team player who embraces collaborations across global teams.A self-starter who will take the initiative and get things done.Engineering mindset that pays attention to detail and looks for opportunity to build and automate process.The ideal candidate will have:Able to prioritize and multi-task.Great interpersonal effectiveness.Self-motivated.Required ExperienceFor consideration, please apply online.
