OPEN POSITIONEDUCATION CONSULTANTResponse to InterventionCOMPETITION NUMBERCHI-4471LOCATION OF WORKTo be determinedNATURE OF THE WORKThis position is responsible for providing advice andsupport to teachers and other professionals in theimplementation, development and evaluation of theCree School Board Response to Intervention(RTI)school based initiative and protocols.CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS:Participate in the development, implementation andevaluation of the RTI school based initiative whilecomplying with the academic and administrativerequirements of both the educational institutions andthe school board;Contribute to the implementation of academic andbehavioural intervention assessment, programs andtraining, provides advice to the teachers andadministration concerning the interpretation of thoseassessments and programs, designs and leads trainingworkshops and sessions on instructional andassessment components related to the RTI process.Develop or select and deliver training and supportdesigned to respond to needs in implementing the RTIprocess which include best instructional practices,data collection and reporting, innovation anddevelopment;Provide teachers with learning evaluation tools andguide them in the design, preparation or adaptation ofevaluation tools of the RTI sequence andsupplementary interventions.Advice management, teacher and professional staff onhis field of expertise to support decision making;Prepare programs calendar, and the teachers studentsschedule;Contribute to the detection and identification ofstudents experiencing difficulties, using the RTI processand focusing on prevention and intervention;POSTE OUVERTCONSEILLER PÉDAGOGIQUERéponse à l’InterventionNO DU CONCOURSCHI-4471LIEU DE TRAVAILÀ déterminerNATURE DU TRAVAILCe poste comprend la responsabilité de fournir desconseils et du soutien aux enseignants et autresprofessionnels pour le développement, la mise enœuvre et l’évaluation de l’initiative de réponse àl’intervention (RAI) basée sur l’école de la Commissionscolaire crie et de ses protocoles.FONCTIONS CARACTÉRISTIQUES:Participer à lélaboration, la mise en œuvre etlévaluation de l’initiative de réponse à l’intervention(RAI) basée sur l’école tout en se conformant auxexigences académiques et administratives desinstitutions scolaires et de la commission scolaire;Contribuer à la mise en oeuvre d’évaluations, deprogrammes et de formations d’interventionacadémiques et comportementaux, conseiller lesenseignants et l’administration concernant la mise enoeuvre de ces évaluations et programmes, concevoir etanimer des ateliers de formation et des sessionsd’orientation sur les stratégies/pratiquesd’enseignement et l’évaluation reliées au processusRAI;Développer ou sélectionner, et offrir la formation et lesupport déjà conçus pour répondre aux besoins dans lamise en place du processus RAI incluant les meilleurespratiques efficaces, l’adaptation, la collecte de données,l’écriture de rapports, l’innovation et le développement;Fournir aux enseignants des outils d’apprentissage etles guider dans la conception, la préparation oul’adaptation d’outils d’évaluation reliés aux séquencesRAI ainsi qu’aux interventions supplémentaires;Conseiller les gestionnaires, les enseignants et lepersonnel professionnel dans son domaine d’expertisepour soutenir la prise de décisions;Préparer le calendrier des programmes et le calendrierdes enseignants et étudiants;Contribuer au dépistage et à l’identification des élèvesqui éprouvent des difficultés, en utilisant l’approche RAImettant l’accent sur la prévention et l’intervention;REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSA Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate specialty notablyin special education;Permanent teaching permit issued by the Minister ofEducation (Brevet);Five (5) years experience as a teacher;Must demonstrate strong teaching abilities, classroommanagement, methodology and knowledge of M.E.E.S.programs;English required,Knowledge of the Cree languge and French is an asset;BEGINNING OF EMPLOYMENTAs soon as possible.WORKING CONDITIONSRegular, full-time position.35 hours per week.Salary: $25.25/hr to $45.22/hrNorthern Allowance: $8,484.00 - $17,652.00Retention Premium: $3,500.00 - $7,000.00Please send your CV by completing the ApplicationForm found HERE.Please indicate the competition #: CHI-4471.
