Job Description

Your West Coast Adventure Awaits!Come join our fun and adventurous team! You will be working in a natural playground of rugged coastal mountains, rainforests and ocean. Spend your summer getting paid to be where others vacation!Get to know us:Moutcha Bay Resort is a remote destination dedicated to sustainable adventure tourism, located 2 hours west of Campbell River on Vancouver Island by road. We host guests from around the world and love to share our passion for saltwater sportfishing and other outdoor adventures.Who you are:

  • You have a desire to live and work in a beautiful remote area
  • You enjoy working outdoors and in all weather conditions
  • You have your Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
  • You have a valid drivers license
  • Youre familiar with the recreational fishing industry (familiarity with DFO fishing regulations in Area 25/125 is an asset)
  • You can work independently and with little supervision
  • You have the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and can work while walking or standing for prolonged periods
  • Youre friendly and outgoing with excellent communication and customer service skills
What you’ll be doing:
  • Youll be giving rental boat orientations to guests
  • Youll be cleaning rental boats and checking their safety equipment
  • Youll be moving rental boats between fuel dock and parking slips
  • Youll be assisting guests with fueling their boats, including billing to rooms
  • Youll be catching and securing guest boats when they arrive
  • Youll be cleaning the dock shack, fish cleaning stations, and marina in general
  • Youll be processing retail sales in the dock shack
  • Youll be stocking shelves in the dock shack and tying fishing gear
  • Youll be assisting guests with rental kayaks
  • Youll be greeting guests, giving directions, assisting them, taking "catch" photos, and contributing to a stellar guest experience
Working with us:This position has an anticipated start date of June 6-20 and end date of September 1, 2022.
