Job Description

Your West Coast Adventure Awaits!Come join our fun and adventurous team! You will be working in a natural playground of rugged coastal mountains, rainforests and ocean. Spend your summer getting paid to be where others vacation!Get to know us:Moutcha Bay Resort is a remote destination dedicated to sustainable adventure tourism, located 2 hours west of Campbell River on Vancouver Island by road. We host guests from around the world and love to share our passion for saltwater sportfishing and other outdoor adventures.Who you are:

  • You have Red Seal certification or the equivalent in experience
  • You have Food Safe Level 2 certification
  • You have excellent kitchen management and leadership skills
  • You are computer literate with a strong grasp of the Microsoft Office suite
  • You love to prepare quality meals with exceptional plated presentation
  • You have a high standard for cleanliness and sanitation
  • You are able to lift up to 30lbs and work while standing for prolonged periods
What you’ll be doing:
  • Youll train, manage, schedule, supervise, and mentor the kitchen team
  • Youll prepare menu items using standard recipes
  • Youll prepare ingredients, stock stations, and perform cleaning duties
  • Youll monitor inventory and order supplies
  • Youll work on the line with your team
  • Youll ensure that standards for customer service, professionalism, timeliness, cleanliness and sanitation are upheld
  • Youll be helping to create memorable guest experiences
Working with us:This position has an anticipated start date of May 1 and end date of September 24, 2023. Contract length is subject to change based on the demands of the season. This positions schedule is 5 on, 2 off.Meals and staff accommodation are included in the employment package!Our offer to you:We are dedicated to appreciating our guests and our employees alike.
