Job Description

Celebrating 63 years of BusinessWe Bring Food to Your Family’s Table!We are now hiring a Driver Settlements Clerk for our New Hamburg, Ontario terminal!Shift Details: Monday to Friday; 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Responsibilities:

  • Assist with driver pay calculations and processing, especially when workloads are heavy or to cover vacations.
  • Gather appropriate documentation and run reports in relation to the calculation of driver pay.
  • Review driver attendance and align with driver pay calculations.
  • Communicate with drivers to solve pay discrepancies.
  • Support other departments with TruckRight issues and provide TruckRight training to employees.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of new processes in the department.
  • Coordinate with the other members of the driver settlements team to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with management to gain approvals for exceptions or complex situations.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent Word, Excel and Outlook skills required; knowledge of other systems such as AS400, PC Miler, other dispatching software or electronic logs an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, statutory holidays and weekends if required.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry and regulations an asset.
  • Proven conflict resolution skills required.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant payroll experience required.
