We offer great deals, friendly service and a helping hand when it comes time to selling and servicing new and used vehicles.Position Summary:John Bear Buick Chevrolet GMC Ltd. is seeking a natural leader with industry experience for the position of General Manager at our New Hamburg dealership. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring overall performance and profitability of the entire dealership operation. This key management role is responsible for ongoing planning and collaboration with other department leaders; executing on objectives, goals and growth strategies; ensuring compliance with process and procedures; motivating and coaching team members for performance; improving efficiencies; driving sales and championing the customer experience.Responsibilities:

  • Setting goals with the management team and actioning plans to achieve financial and operational objectives
  • Leading, developing and motivating managers and operational staff
  • Ensuring safe, efficient operation of the sales and service areas
  • Overseeing development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Profit & Loss management including setting and achieving budgetary, cost efficiency and cash flow goals for the long-term viability of the business
  • Staying current with industry trends and state-of-the-art processes and equipment
  • CRM and CSI driven individual
  • Working Weekly, Monthly, and Annually on marketing and forecasting
Qualifications:
  • Valid OMVIC license
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and clean abstract
  • 5+ years Dealership Management experience
  • GM Dealership experience an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Dealership budgeting, expenses, and finance practices
  • Solid understanding of retail and wholesale financing
  • Ability to forecast and manage sales leads
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop dynamic teams that work cohesively
  • Adept at training management and staff, in keeping with dealership strategy
  • Ability to maintain superior customer satisfaction levels and ratings
  • Ability to successfully negotiate at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
  • High level of integrity and dependability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and computer applications
