Our advisors are their advisors—the people who have always been by their side and know every acre of their local area.Our sector is seeking a:Feed Mill worker006566Work location: 47 Minas Warehouse Road, New Minas, NS B4N 5A5Status: Professional, Permanent, Full Time,Work schedule is : 8 am to 4:15 pm (day shift) / 4:00 pm to 12:15 am (evening shift) / 12:00 am until 8:15 am (night shift)Status : Permanent, Full-Time (40 hrs and +)Job location : 47 Minas Warehouse Road, New Minas, NSTHE BENEFITS WE OFFER

  • Bi-weekly pay;
  • Overtime is paid (time and half on week days /1 and 3/4 on week-ends);
  • Safety equipment provided (except safety boots);
  • Starting at 22.40 $ per hour;
  • Benefit plan and pension plan provided.
CHALLENGES WE OFFERWorking at our New Minas Feed Mill, this position could involve various tasks including:
  • Running equipment;
  • Milling bags of feed;
  • Mixing and/or weighing product;
  • Loading and unloading shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive; heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment, e.g. lift truck, forklift, etc.;
  • Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments to verify contents and quality.
YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING PROFILE:The successful applicant will be a strong team player and will:
  • You are physically able to repeatedly lift 25kg;
  • You have good coordination;
  • You have a commitment to safety;
  • You have a strong work ethic and positive attitude;
  • You have great attention to detail in all areas of work;
  • You have general knowledge of safe work practices and safe lifting methods;
  • You are comfortable working with heights (ladders with safety railings);
  • You are able to work in a dusty environment;
  • You have experience with manual labour (an asset);
  • You have basic computer skills (an asset);
  • You must be adaptable to flexible work hours including night shift.
