Job Description

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join a dynamic team at a fast-growing company in Niagara Falls. The HR Generalist will play a key role in both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR operations, supporting various aspects of human resources, including training, performance management, health and safety, employee relations, payroll, and more.Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main HR contact for employees, addressing concerns and offering guidance on policies and best practices.
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook, policies, and organizational charts.
  • Lead and organize training and development programs.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including annual reviews and feedback.
  • Support the progressive discipline process and assist with workplace investigations when needed.
  • Manage health and safety initiatives, including participation in the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) and overseeing safety inspections.
  • Assist with payroll processing and collaborate with the HR team on recruitment efforts.
  • Lead or participate in HR-related projects, such as employee engagement and organizational development.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of HR experience in a fast-paced, corporate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Previous experience with health and safety programs.
  • Solid understanding of workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
  • CHRP designation.
  • Certification in JHSC Part 1 and 2.
  • Experience managing HR projects and working with applicant tracking systems.
