Job Description

We also formulate custom fluids, available for purchase or rental 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.Tiger is seeking a Journeyman, 2nd, and 3rd Year Apprentice Mechanics to maintain Tiger’s vehicle fleet.What’s in it for you:

What you will do in this role:
  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose, and repair Tiger’s fleet of tractors and trailers.
  • Diagnose the root cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to the manufacturer #39;s specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy personal work area and assist with general cleaning duties in a workshop environment.
  • Accurately record all work tasks on work orders in the TMT system.
  • Support and encourage continuous improvement in work practices.
  • Some out-of-hours work may be required on a call-out basis.
  • Adhere to Tiger’s Safety Management System policies and procedures.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Completing daily Field Level Hazard Assessments.
What we are looking for:PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS!
  • Indentured 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year Apprentice. Actively progressing through the apprenticeship program.
  • Experience with Cummins engines, aftertreatment diagnostics, hydraulic systems, and Super B trailers.
  • Experience and considerable knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of various types of heavy equipment and other power-driven equipment and tools.
  • Working knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
  • Familiarity with the TMT software program would be considered an asset.
  • Skilled in the operation of a variety of tools and equipment used in repairing trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Capable of preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, airbrake mechanical, and hydraulic system failures. Under Journeyman supervision and guidance.
  • Has a collaborative communication style at all levels of the organization, demonstrating an open, honest, and consistent approach to working with others.
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug and alcohol and health assessment.
