Job Description

JOB SUMMARYThe primary objectives of the Java Systems Implementation Lead is to improve business execution and profitability through the implementation of processes, information asset management and systems which streamline operations, reduce risk, and reduce operational overhead.This role will encompass various aspects of process development, defining user requirements, documenting system specifications, coordinating, and participating in the development of system solutions, facilitating roll out, user training, and producing all necessary process, procedure, work instruction, QRG and technical documentation.KEY (CORE) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProcess Improvement

  • Evaluate and analyze business and project processes, identify inefficiencies, issues, risks and opportunities for process optimization within and between the Java owned companies and systems.
  • Lead, support and assist business units with the development of process workflows, information asset management, as well as modeling of new, revised, and automated processes.
  • Ensure implementation, adoption, and validation of new processes.
Systems Specification, Development and Implementation
  • Identify and recommend system improvements and solutions which optimize and automate the processes through the application of new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
  • Form the bridge between Systems, IT and Business Operations solving problems with system solutions, through the analysis and translation of business and user requirements into system requirements, specifications, designs, and procedures.
  • Support system implementation by producing internal guides, training materials, and end-user documentation, performing user acceptance testing and implementing continuous improvement.
Project Management
  • Interface with executives, company mangers, functional leads, and systems owners to define systems project objectives, execution plans and resources to achieve solutions that satisfy business needs.
  • Assemble, coordinate, and lead integrated multi-company and cross-functional project teams through all stages of Systems projects, from initiation to roll out.
  • Ensure the timely completion of Systems projects within allocated budgets, and throughout the project provide to key stakeholder’s visibility of project progress, issues, risks, changes and opportunities.
  • Coordinate workshops, training, and plans for monitoring and continuous improvement.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Post secondary education in one or more of the following areas:
  • IT
  • Computing Studies
  • Information Systems
  • Business Administration
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a Project Management role with a focus on technology implementation
  • Project Management Professional designation preferred
