Job Description

SIGNING BONUS!All safety-sensitive positions will be subject to Tiger #39;s pre-employment protocol which will include drug and alcohol screening.Position Title: CalciumDriver Work Location: NiskuDepartment: TransportationTitle of manager this position reports to: CalciumTransportation ManagerWork Rotation (if applicable):Follow Federal Hours of Service 70 hrs/7 daysPurpose of Role:To drive a tractor-trailer unit for the purpose of delivering calcium chloride to customer locations and field storage locations throughout Western Canada.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must successfully complete Tiger’s pre-employment testing.
  • Operate tractor-trailer unit to deliver the product to customers and field storage tanks.
  • Perform pre and post-trip on truck and trailer.
  • Accurate completion of E-Log, adhering to Federal Hours of Service.
  • Loading and unloading products.
  • Represent the company to the customer and the general public in a professional manner.
  • Accurate way-bill recording through TMW.
  • Completion of timesheets, fuel envelopes and mileage envelopes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Complete daily job hazard assessments.
  • Adhere and promote Tiger’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, WORK EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:
  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license.
  • Minimum 3 years Super B driving experience.
  • 18 Speed experience considered an asset.
  • Clean driver’s abstract.
  • Geographic knowledge of Western Canada.
  • Liquid bulk hauling, off-road driving, mountain driving, TMW program.
  • Experience working on CN Rail property will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to put tire chains on.
  • Knowledge of Federal Hours of Service.
  • Knowledge of running hydraulic pumps.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adapt to change quickly.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate at an acceptable level with dispatch and customers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDITIONS Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting constantly for driving a truck
  • Walking, occasional short distances at site locations or performing pre and post-trip inspections.
  • Lifting – maximum 50 lbs.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing.
Work Conditions:
  • Exposure to diverse weather conditions such as wind, heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Driving in all weather conditions.
  • Away from home for extended periods.
