The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to provide excellent customer service, develop relationships with customers on the phone, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a business to business environment is considered an asset, but we welcome all to apply.DAILY ACTIVITIES: ❖ Assisting walk-in customers and answering inquiries over the phone and email.❖ Collaborating with other branches across Canada.❖ Quoting customers through a variety of channels, often working with account managers and suppliers to fulfill customer needs.❖ Perform daily activity checklist as required.BEHAVIOURAL TRAITS: ❖ Team player with a positive and professional attitude❖ Learn-it-all and growth mindset❖ Willingness to adapt to changing business environments❖ Ability to work alone, as a team and with others when required❖ Curiosity❖ Ability to Multi-Task❖ Strong attention to detail, accuracy, excellent follow-up and problem-solving skills, exceptional judgment skills, and proactively takes initiative, driving resultsSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: ❖ Provide strong technical knowledge of all products to customers.❖ Offer product alternatives, suggestions, and problem-solving ideas to customers.❖ Maintain strong computer and communication skills.❖ Provide consistent feedback on competitive market sell pricing, and asset management (inventory and receivables) to branch leaders and/or corporate management.❖ Improve individual skills by actively and continuously learning new products, new processes, new methods, and new procedures.❖ Develop solid relationships with customers, vendors, and associates, and use those relationships to achieve goals and targets, and enhance the working environment.❖ Actively sell and promote inactive inventory closeout items, and maximize sales volumes.❖ Actively support and promote all company/branch marketing initiatives.RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS: Supervisory Relationships:❖ Reports directly to the Regional Customer Service Leader - Western CanadaOrganizational Relationships:❖ Strong working relationships with all McKillican personnel.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: ❖ Minimum 2 years of customer service experienceJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:
