We are primarily looking to hire assemblers/bottlesorters for our afternoon shift (2pm to 10pm) and for assemblers for our night shift (10pm to 6 am) for the spring and summer season and into Fall. The role of bottle sorting is to organize the bottles that get returned from restaurants and bottle dealers and work as a part of a team to organize them. Assembling is putting together cases of beer to go out to our customers using power equipment. The afternoon shift has a range of hours from 15 to a maximum of 40 hours. Also for a student or someone balancing another job less hours would be possible while balancing school/work. The night shift would be geared towards 32 to 40 hours. Both of these roles can be excellent school jobs for College and University students while balancing classes. Also it is a good job for someone seeking full time employment but this process is minimum 6 month process. The pay is minimum wage however there is some shift premiums (afternoon shift 60 cents, nightshift $1). The location of The Beer Store is 2750 Swansea Crescent. We are located at the East End of Ottawa. It isn’t necessary to have a car, but a reminder that if you do not have access to a car that a bus from downtown would be approximately a 45 to 60 minutes.
