Duties include responsibility for Business Specifications for Work intake items, documenting Metadata requirements and interaction with our Business User.Responsibilities

  • Provides consultation and expertise to ensure Business Requirements are documented and available for the team.
  • Provides second level support to Data Analytics for technical issues ensuring the safety and soundness of our EDW.
  • Researches the business impact, conduct analysis, and manage Business Acceptance testing for maintenance initiatives managed by Data Analytics
  • Conducts training on DWE and BI Solutions
  • Seeks out new approaches, tools, methods and/or technologies to find efficiencies in cost or time
  • Taps into the knowledge of internal sources, complementing with knowledge of own area of expertise
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with business partners and internal/external team members
  • This position is integral to the process of ensuring that the information being used to support the goals of our business partners is accurate, appropriate and available on a timely basis.
  • This position will take direct action in identifying and recommending corrective action on information deficiencies within the warehouse. For those deficiencies that are data related from business processes this position will advise Data Analytics Support and Management Team with observations and where possible recommend on corrective courses of action.
Experience
  • 5 + years EDW related experience
  • 5+ years of experience in architecting and modeling the integration of data into an EDW
  • Teradata required
Knowledge
  • Established and recognized area(s) of expertise in Data Management
  • Relationship management with reports, peers, clients
  • End-to-End vision encompassing lateral thinking
Mandatory Skills
  • Strong communication skills at the Senior Leadership level
Nice to Have
  • Migrating to the Cloud an asset
