General Posting InformationPOSITION: Cybersecurity AnalystDEPARTMENT: Technology ServicesCONDITIONS: Full-timeHOURS:Approximately 75.0 Bi-weekly HoursSHIFTS:Days7.5 hours per shift (subject to change)WAGE RANGE:Scale Minimum MaximumNONU $42.39/hr $50.82/hrRESPONSIBILITIES:Protect the organization's data and information systems using advanced tools, techniques and frameworks to monitor, assess and manage IT risks, as well as identify ongoing threats, mitigate vulnerabilities and anticipate cybersecurity issuesapplies technical knowledge and analytical experience to advise and recommend strategies, approaches and solutions to stakeholders to further strengthen and solidify all facets of cybersecurity at Queensway Carleton HospitalManage various cybersecurity projects, initiatives, and hardening exercisesOversee the development, deployment, operation, implementation and support of information systems in accordance with the policies of the Information Technology department as well as QCHRecommend security studies and proactively participate in partner relations relative to third party support providersRecommend strategies and measures to take in order to ensure that IT systems comply with cryptographic and security policies and standardsDesign and develop new secure architectures and test prototypes to advise and guide business partnersOrganize and participate in penetration testing and threat/risk assessment exercises to develop detailed plans in order to address gaps and vulnerabilitiesRecommend approaches and strategies relative to 24/7/365 security monitoringProvide advice towards security requirements and controls of an IT product, system or deviceImplement hospital security policies based on NIST frameworkEnsure that policies are in accordance with provincial standards (MoHLTC, PHIPPA, etc.)Review all changes to IT system security to assess risks and make recommendations to protect sensitive dataReview designs and related documentation to assess threats, asset sensitivity level as well as vulnerabilities, mitigation measures and residual riskREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity or related disciplineOR a 3-year college diploma specializing in IT SecurityOR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Five (5) years of progressive IT experience combined with at least three (3) years of accumulated experience including at least 3 of the following specializations:Virtualization of networks, cloud technologies or cryptographyIdentity and Access ManagementWriting or consulting threat and risk assessmentsTesting and evaluation of IT productsManagement of systems related to the security of Windows or Linux servers or workstations (including virtual machines)Security configuration of corporate unified communications or telecommunications platforms or corporate networks (eg Cisco, Juniper)Use of security protocols (i.e. TLS, HTTPS, IPSec, IKE), communications protocols (i.e. VoIP / SIP, REST interfaces, RCP, TCP broadcast) or analysis tools (Wireshark , tcpdump, SIPp, Kali, etc.)Component reinforcement or writing and modification of guides on component reinforcement (AD, VPN, VDI, etc.)Assessment and testing of IT security products against security requirements (i.e. Common Criteria, NIST, High Assurance Standards)Use of a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) toolPREFERRED:Experience in healthcare fieldCISSP Certification, CCNA Certification (Security or Cyber Ops), CCNP Security Certification or CCIE CertificationThank you for your continued interest in the Queensway Carleton Hospital.
