Job Description

Data Analyst - EnergyLocation: Ottawa, OntTo support ICF’s growing energy efficiency program delivery, ICF is seeking a Data Analyst with knowledge of energy consumption to assist with data capture and reporting on a new program in Ontario. The successful applicant will assist the Lead Data Analyst and Program Manager in reporting for the program to the client. This will include weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports, and include impromptu reporting as necessary. The successful candidate is also expected to assist in the development of the database to enable the aforementioned reporting to occur in an effective and efficient manner.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of the central database to capture valid information the allows for effective reporting
  • Creating dashboards to provide up to date program information
  • Development of templates for regular reporting
  • Pulling weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to allow for effective management of the program
  • Impromptu reporting as requested by the client or Program Manager
  • Provide ongoing utility client support as needed. Support will include program reporting, meeting attendance and other client communication as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Degree in information technology, computer science, or statistics specializing in data analytics
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and PowerBI)
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of a scripting language (Python/Javascript)
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and energy consumption
  • Experience with creating effective, clean reporting
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP)
  • Strong planning, and organization skills
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Time management skills to handle multiple priorities and flexibility to work limited overtime as needed Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
