Job SummaryReporting to the Manager, Information Technology and Systems, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing support to project and program related information systems initiatives.The IT Support Specialist will perform a critical role in supporting program delivery through the development and refinement of web application portals. They will provide other support, as required, to help improve processes and workflows through the integration of technology and will be called on to support other areas of project delivery from time-to-time, including generating reports. The incumbent requires strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement and the ability to work independently – in a larger team context - while managing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing work according to established and sometimes changing deadlines.This position requires day-to-day handling of personal information. All work must be performed in a manner that respect Privacy and Security Requirements.The work of the IT Support Specialist is reviewed by the Manager, Information Technology & Systems based on objectives and work plans set annually, in consultation with project and program staff and guided by the Senior Systems Analyst.General Expectations
