Job Description

As a member of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you will carry out important work, such as assisting customers in finding cures for cancer, protecting the environment or making sure our food is safe. We will support you in achieving your career goals every step of the way.How will you make an impactSupports the Pricing Operations group in meeting complex customer pricing requirements and profitability improvement initiatives. Uses intermediate PC and analytical skills to process, audit, and analyze large volumes of pricing related data.What will you do

  • Using SQL, Excel, and proprietary pricing software:
  • Compile, evaluate for accuracy, and upload pricing data from various sources to implement multiple-customer and large pricing exception uploads and related settings maintenance
  • Independently investigate and resolve issues and errors that may impact customer pricing and/or profitability by evaluating data and processes, engaging team members or resources as needed.
  • Extract and archive critical pricing, product, and customer related data from multiple sources to be used in a variety of processes and deliverables.
  • Prepare, quality check, and distribute pricing related data audits, reports and customer deliverables using predefined processes in Access, Excel, and Cognos
  • Assist senior team members with quality control measures; implement corrections of errant data identified in audits

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:High attention to detail and strong organizational skills are vital. Logical thinking, problem-solving skills and the ability to identify data relationships is necessary in this role. Proficient written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are important as well. The Pricing Analyst I must be able to manage tasks independently and prioritize deliverables based on changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • business / analytical job experience helpful
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills required; Access or Cognos experience a plus
  • Experience with strategic pricing logic or pricing systems helpful
