Are you inCome, and be where it begins.RF HW Product IntegratorLocation: Ottawa, OntarioOur Exciting OpportunityWe are currently seeking to fill a Radio Design Integration Developer position within our Radio HW Product Integration team! Our group is responsible for hardware development of wireless base station equipment. We are developing state of the art, multi-standard radio and digital hardware for cellular LTE, W-CDMA (UMTS), GSM and 5G applications. Our base station products are deployed by worldwide leading mobile operators.You will:

  • Connect low power TX and RX, Power Amplifier and Filter Unit prototype into a radio unit and integrate radio unit HW and SW
  • Analyze new product design and its performance requirements
  • Define scope of radio integration and plan radio integration activities
  • Prepare lab environment including both HW (test equipment) and software components
  • Define test coverage required for integration and describe how it will be performed
  • Implement test and validation methods for efficient integration coverage and develop all calibration and performance optimization procedures
  • Define robustness and stress test required for new product
  • Analyze results and drive radio updates, perform error detection, and report errors
  • Perform statistical analysis of measurement data
  • Produce documentation following radio design process
  • Perform troubleshooting, customer support and drive continuous improvements of processes and product quality
To be successful in the role you must have:
  • BSc level in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field
  • Greater than 2 years experience in RF and hardware industry
  • Understanding of applicable wireless technologies (e.g. GSM, UMTS, WCDMA, LTE) and industry standards (e.g. 3GPP)
  • Experience with basic lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong team and interpersonal skills
  • Energy and drive to thrive in a dynamic product development environment
  • Proficient English skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to develop and maintain scripts and software in one or more of these languages: Agilent VEE, LabVIEW, C#, Python, and Matlab
