From the kids in our camps and those participating in soccer and swimminglessons, to youth who are new to our communities from around the world, the Y is committed to helping ournext generation to grow and thrive, as healthy individuals and passionate future leaders.Y” not join the thousands of members, employees and volunteers in the region to share our vision of a healthycommunityAs we continue to grow, we have a need for the following position:Position/Term: Part Time Screener / Runner for School Age Programs – ContractLocation: Oxford County YMCA School Age ProgramsContract Term: August 30, 2021 – December 17, 2021Qualifications & Experience:
  • Hold A Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level- C Certificate (from an approved WSIB approved agency)
  • Current successful Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Experience working with children 0-12 years in a work or school placement setting is an asset
  • Experience working in customer service-related field is asset
Compensation/Benefits:
  • Starting $16.25 per hour (includes provincial wage enhancement grant)

Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday (no weekends)
  • Must be available for 5 morning shifts or 5 afternoon shifts or both
  • AM Shift 6:30am-9:00am (varies per location)
  • PM Shift 3:00pm -6:00pm (varies per location)
  • Up to 25 hours per week
Responsibilities:
  • To ensure compliance with Child Care and Early Years Act, Health Department regulations and YMCA of Southwestern
Ontario policy and procedures.
  • To actively screen children and families at arrival time according to the current COVID-19 regulations.
  • To ensure a smooth transition of children at arrival and departure to meet the needs, special needs, interests of all
children and families
  • To provide excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating YMCA core values in your daily work.
