These products are subsequently resold to Hubbell Canada ULC customers (distributors) or in some cases consumed in manufactured goods.And/OrWork with the Assembly Department to schedule, issue work orders to the plant floor, monitor open work orders through the production process, and provide support and information to customer service & operations group as required.Meets goals for on time delivery, customer satisfaction, and Inventory levels (months/days on hand).Position reports to the Planning Supervisor.Duties and Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the sales, marketing and engineering teams, find and review opportunity to reduce costs from third party vendors for raw materials, finished goods, and services both domestically and internally. Identifying vendors, price negotiations, and manage certification requirements through to vendor and sku setup in SAP.
  • Responsible for the continuous review of the SAP generated procurement recommendations as it relates to sales on a daily / weekly basis.
  • Monitor and expedite, when necessary, the delivery of purchased parts and/or scheduling of manufactured goods in relation to the requested / promised delivery schedule in an effort to maximize customer delivery performance.
  • Ensures the smooth flow of goods by resolving part number logic problems, warranty and quality issues, aid in the identification of unidentified material, issuing of rework orders, vendor returns, managing part number changes, part number substitutions, phasing out of excess and obsolete stock.
  • Responsible for the review of forecasts on a monthly basis
  • Recommend changes to the product line forecast to improve delivery performance and conversely to minimize the company’s exposure to excess and obsolete stock (E&O).
  • Responsible for updating the approved forecast revisions into the SAP forecast system.
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors degree (B. A.) in an analytical field (operations, business, etc.) – preferred - from four-year college or university
  • 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; preferably in a distribution environment.
  • Must have strong SAP & Microsoft Office background
  • CAPIC/APIC Certification an asset
  • An understanding of electrical certification codes and standards
