Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedLocation: Pickering, ONSummary:Miller Maintenance proudly provides maintenance services on Maintenance Contracts for Ontario Ministry of Transportation throughout the province of Ontario. Our leadership in the Ontario road and highway maintenance industry is based on our commitment to continuous improvement through education, innovation, safety, and training.As a Winter Works Foreperson, You Will:

  • Organize operators to report for winter plowing and salting operations
  • Assist in recruitment, hiring and training of winter operators
  • Fulfill contractual obligations and maintain records for MTO reporting
  • Review operator performance and correct any actions where necessary
  • Must be able to train new operators for winter duties
  • Inspect all equipment daily
  • Assist with salt ordering/receiving and equipment maintenance
What Youll Bring:
  • DZ or greater license an asset
  • Mechanic skills an asset
  • Plowing and salting experience an asset
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to organize and plan effectively and efficiently
  • Knowledge of CVOR requirements and MTO Regulations
  • Ability to schedule and maintain operator hours for payroll
  • Basic computer skills, knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and cognitive thinking
  • Must be flexible with working hours and various shift assignments
