A carpenter is needed to join the team working on the Restoration of the Ship Hector in Pictou, NS.Working with our master shipwright, the carpenter will work on all aspects of shipbuilding/carpentry/joinery etc. Workplace will require climbing of ladders and staging, kneeling on decks, use of heavy and noisy equipment. The carpenter will assist with the construction of materials for ship reconstruction using molds and design information. The carpenter will have a dedicated crew.Qualifications:Carpenter should have a high level of competency in the use of all power tools, band saws, joiners, planers, etc. and the ability to read and interpret plans. The applicant should have problem solving ability and have flexibility in regards to working hours. Ability to work in team environment and willing to learn new skills.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $24.00-$30.00 per hourSchedule:
