A carpenters apprentice/helper is needed to work with the Restoration Team on the Ship Hector in Pictou, NS.Working with our master shipwright and carpenter, the employee will learn all aspects of shipbuilding/carpentry/joinery etc. Workplace will require climbing of ladders and staging, kneeling on decks, use of heavy and noisy equipment. The employee will assist with the construction of materials for ship reconstruction using molds and design information.Qualifications:Carpenters Apprentice/Helper should have a high level of competency in the use of all power tools, band saws, joiners, planers, etc. The applicant should have problem solving ability and have flexibility in regards to working hours. Ability to work in team environment and willing to learn new skills.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $17.00-$19.00 per hourSchedule:
