Job descriptionPrior experience in the veterinary field or relevant medical knowledge/experience is required!Job descriptionPictou Veterinary Hospital is a progressive, community veterinary clinic looking for a part time veterinary receptionist to join our team Tuesdays through Thursdays.We are seeking an individual that is self-motivated, people-oriented and fast-learning.candidate must have a compassion for animals, excellent communication and organizational skills and express a friendly and compassionate energy while working in a fast paced team setting.Pay rate will be dependent on experience.Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, quality client service.
  • Answering and operate a multiple phone line system.
  • Scheduling appointments and boarding reservations.
  • Greet clients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
  • Collect client fees, process payments and run end of day transactions.
  • Gain knowledge of products sold and answer questions concerning products purchased/used.
  • Enter data into practice management software.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties.
  • Work well with all employees and ensure that your actions support the hospital, doctors and the practice philosophy.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to communicate and handle high-stress situations while maintaining a professional manner.
