Job Description

Are you looking for a role that will challenge youIf you answered yes, then this may be the job for you!We are looking for an experienced Risk Analyst, who will be responsible to work with the PC Scheduling Manager, Line Organization Directors, Project Managers, Project Supervisors, Project Control Coordinators, etc. providing support and recommendations in the field of Project Risk Management. The Risk Analyst is accountable to the Director Manager, Project Controls within the Whiteshell Remediation Project. The role provides Project Risk Management support to ERM Projects while following and implementing CNL #39;s Project Management Office (PMO) processes and procedures.What will you be doing!

  • Facilitating Risk Identification, Risk Analysis (Qualitative and Quantitative), Risk Response Planning, Risk Monitoring and Control, and Risk Close Out.
  • Preparing for and administering the running of analyses of Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Supporting Project Teams on the preparation and management of Project Risk Registers.
  • Facilitating and leading Risk Management Workshops.
  • Reporting of and data analysis of risks in CRL Risk Management Database to Senior Management.
  • Providing Project Teams support on the development and management of Risk Drawdown Plans.
  • Providing Project Teams support and direction on the development and management of Cost Contingency, Management Reserve, and Schedule Contingency.
  • Providing Project Teams support on the development of Risk Management Plans.
What we are looking for:
  • Education: Bachelor #39;s Degree from a recognized University combined with progressive experience, or equivalent combination of formal training and progressive experience is required.
  • Experience:
o Five (5)+ Years of experience in the field of Project Risk Management.o Experience with the development/maintenance of Project Risk Registers and Plans, facilitating Project Risk Workshops, and performing Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Analyses / Monte Carlo simulations is must.o Experience with application of determined Cost Contingency, Schedule Contingency, and Management Reserve to Project Plans is an asset.
  • Tools/systems knowledge: 5+ years, experience with Risk Management Analysis software such as PertMaster, Safran or @Risk (used for Monte Carlo simulations). Experience with PRC software is an asset.
  • Strong abilities with:
o Overall Project Management knowledge, and the ability to support production of a high-quality Project schedule for quantitative analysis is an asset.o Analytical skills and the ability to accurately evaluate detailed scopes.o Must be able to apply recognized Risk Management techniques and handle large sources of quantifiable data (detail oriented).o Time-management skills. Will often work on fixed, short deadlines, and must plan work in advance, working efficiently and accurately.o Ability to communicate well, both verbally and written.o Ability to present information clearly and effectively to both project staff and senior management
  • Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariatquot;Standard on Security Screening quot; and thequot;Policy on Government Security quot;.
Working Conditions:
  • Compressed/4x10 work week (Monday to Thursday).
  • Majority of duties involve screen time, typing and sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in an environment where fostering strong internal relationships is key to meeting deliverables
