Position: Work Control PlannerLocation: Pinawa, MB Type of Employment: Fulltime-ContractDuration: 12+monthClient: Nuclear Construction We are looking for a Work Control Planner to help us expand our presence with our clients in the Nuclear Industry. We seek Project Professionals who will align with our corporate mission, visionamp; values:Roleamp; Responsibilities:· All work conducted at the site is performed following Integrated Work Control and specifically directed by Work Control Planners. All new construction, installations and decommissioning work requires the use of an approved Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Work Instruction Package (WIP). Approval requires the signatures of all Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as outlined in the attached JHA/WIP development procedures, prior to the commencement of any work.· The approved Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Work Instruction Package (WIP) will be the formal basis for conducting work at the site and will not be revised without signed approval by the site or Contractor project team.· The JHA/WIP is developed to identify hazards and safety mitigations, special requirements, and detail the steps required to safely execute field work. The Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Work Instruction Package (WIP), JHA/WIP is developed by conducting site walk downs and review meetings with site SMEs to outline all necessary steps to safely perform a SOW.Scope of Work:· The contract scope is for the Work Control Planners to develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Work Instruction Package (WIP), JHA/WIP on assigned projects including but not limited and other maintenance and modifications requiring knowledge of mechanical piping, pipe supports, HVAC, equipment layout, civil – structural features supporting systems installation and construction.· Instruction Package (WIP), JHA/WIP development including a kick off meeting and walk down of the site and for all review stages.· Upon mobilization the Work Control Planners will review the JHA/WIP writing procedure.· Assist in identifying and gathering required SMEs and project team to build a “CORE TEAM†to create WIPs.· Assist in refining the work scope and job steps with Core Team, identify all associated hazards and implement mitigations.· Learn and follow procedures and implement into WIP to maintain highest level of safety and efficiency to conduct all work on site.· Aid in the estimates of duration and costs associated to work activities to ensure baseline schedules can be maintained.· Responsible for working with site SMEs and site planner to ensure proper resources are scheduled against a specific scope of work.· Assist in producing, updating, and upgrading Work Control documentation such as Procedures, Work Requests and WIPs by comparing against industry standards, and recommending and implementing improvements.
