Job TitleIT Asset Manager - AmericasJob Description SummaryOverviewFocus on eliminating waste and increase efficiency by making the best use of existing IT asset resources and avoiding asset purchases that are unnecessary through thoughtful BAU refresh initiatives and re-deployment management.Responsible for managing a detailed inventory of C&Ws software and hardware assets in AMER region, in partnership with partner vendors, AMER IT Depot manager and Global ITAM lead.Maintain processes, policies, standards, systems, and measurements that help the C&W to effectively manage assets and cost effectively in region.Focus on partnership with operations business managers and strategic management partners to effectively communicate process and standards for IT needs.Job DescriptionIT Asset Manager, AmericasReporting to: Director, Global IT Asset Management Director, IT Asset ManagementDirect reports: TBCDimensionsResponsible for Americas IT Asset Operations including Standards, Changes, Communications with Operational BP’s, M&A work, and ongoing management of America’s IT assets.OverviewFocus on eliminating waste and increase efficiency by making the best use of existing IT asset resources and avoiding asset purchases that are unnecessary through thoughtful BAU refresh initiatives and re-deployment management.Responsible for managing a detailed inventory of C&Ws software and hardware assets in AMER region, in partnership with partner vendors, AMER IT Depot manager and Global ITAM lead.Maintain processes, policies, standards, systems, and measurements that help the C&W to effectively manage assets and cost effectively in region.Focus on partnership with operations business managers and strategic management partners to effectively communicate process and standards for IT needs.Responsibilities:Perform and communicate with leads for strategic management of hardware and softwarePlan, monitor and record hardware assets and/or software license to make sure they complied with vendor contracts in different software tools such as CMDB and Crowd-strike, JAMF or Intune.Apply a continuous improvement approach to enhancing the strategies employed in technology management and communication around business needsEnsure effective management of the CMDB and that the content contained is accurateTake part in various projects, providing support M&A PM’s, Peers and Director of ITAMRecruit/manage a small team of asset analysts and supervise their performance, reviews, development roadmapsDefine and enhance scheme for identifying hardware and software-related assets as well as CIs, including versioning and dependencies in the asset management tools, attributes, the Contract management library and the CMDBManage inventory of CIs within Service now queue to be able to effectively track and report KPI’s related to most common regional specific incidentsGenerate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets and CIs and their status; also perform trend analyses to assist with projection of hardware and software needs for the regionPerform verification and audit CMDB content; verify software assets with license contracts, confirm hardware assets with actual inventoryManage activities concerning license compliance audits to be able to answer to requests from software editors effectively in ordinance with True-up timelines and renewal thresholdEnsure process efficiency by implementing the key performance indicators to depict true-workload analysis on region-based trendsTake part in other ITSM processes, or as required perform as a back up to maintain operational activitiesCollaborate with infrastructure teams to determine trends in asset performancePerform research or attend summits and classes as available on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practicesFinancial management and tracking for BAU Projects and Region based spend on deployments and re-deploymentsRequirements – Abilities, Knowledge and SkillsStrong knowledge and experience working with a CMDB and the specific business services that it supportsSignificant ITSM tool experience, as well as ServiceNow experienceStrong vendor management and negotiation skillsStrong knowledge of IT Service Management processes, as well as experience with discovery toolsPossess Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology, computer science, business administration or in another related fieldStrong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervisionExcellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time without erringExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCushman & Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
