Job Description

Reporting to the Deployment & Special Events Coordinator, the Deployment Assistant position is a part-time, term position responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of the Deployment Services that provide military families with resources and supports. This position is also responsible for supporting in the planning and execution of the Centre’s Special Events to engage the community and stakeholders and overall, to enhance the quality of life for military families.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post secondary education in Marketing, Public or Community Relations, Event Planning. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong administrative, organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in program planning and delivery
  • Ability to take direction and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office and online platforms such as Zoom and social media
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Valid Manitoba Driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Criminal record and child abuse clearance required
  • Familiarity with military lifestyle and French considered an asset
