Job Description

Shilo Military Family Resource CentreEarly Childhood Educator II/IIIThe Shilo Military Family Resource Centre Care is located at Canadian Forces Base Shilo. We are seeking Early Childhood Educators level II or III who are enthusiastic about working with children ages 12 weeks to 12 years of age. We are a provincial licensed childcare centre. The successful candidate must have a positive, friendly attitude, patient and flexible. The ECE will have the ability to maintain consistency with policies, behavior management, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism and be reliable.Specific Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Educator II/III Diploma
  • Proven experience working with children ages 12 weeks to 12 years of age
  • Knowledge of the Provincial Best Practices Licensing Manual
  • Ability to work independently, as well as team member
  • Be punctual, reliable and have a positive, nurturing attitude
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Knowledge of the military lifestyle
  • Current First Aid/CPR
  • Clear Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry/Vulnerable Persons check at hire
