Job Description

You belong at Dayamp; Ross.Data AnalystFull-timeSomerville, NB / RemoteThe Data Specialist supports the Credit team by reporting on and analyzing all data associated with the Credit department. In addition to regular consultation with the Director of Credit and the Credit team, regular interaction with other areas of the business and all levels of management is required. With continuous improvement being the focus, the Data Specialist will generate ideas and implement processes that will streamline and improve efficiency within the Credit department and Finance Shared Services. This position is about improving cash flow and working capital through reporting.How You #39;ll Help

  • Responsible for fostering a positive relationship with all staff members and customers - both internal and external
  • Createamp; maintain balanced scorecards
  • Ensure that data, reports, and analyses are accurate
  • Consistently generate reports by required due date/time
  • Maintain all daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reporting results for Credit
  • Create and maintain KPI and SLA reporting
  • Update and create user-friendly reports as requested per business requirements
  • Assist with Finance Shared Services reporting as needed
  • Produce customer report card analyses relating to adjustments, days to pay, etc, as required
  • Analyze reporting, identifying trends and communicate recommended corrective action to Credit leadership team
  • Working with the Credit team leadership to identify recurring issues and implement corrective action to meet our departmental goals of improving cash flow, and reducing revenue adjustments
  • Identify issues that negatively impact the department, look for resolution and escalate as required
  • Assist in cash posting to support month end priorities
  • Assist with accepting credit card payments from customers via telephone calls and/or email
  • Create powerpoint presentations for meetings
  • Create and maintain process documents
  • Always display a positive attitude and lead in a manner which will get the best out of the team
  • Other related duties as may be required.
Your Skillsamp; Experience:
  • Post-secondary training in Data Analytics
  • A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Minimum 2 year experience in a finance reporting role
  • Transportation and Credit experience an asset
  • Experience with Power BI
  • A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Strong interpersonalamp; communication skills; direct, clear and professional presentation of information marked by tact, courtesy and diplomacy
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced level Excel, must be proficient in the use of MS Outlookamp; Word and have an aptitude for learning new programs
  • Aptitude for learning systems and technology
  • Ability to create reports and dashboards in Power BI from databases including but not limited to, AS400, Oracle OTBI, Oracle FAW, Truckmate, Cargowise, Ottaway, Great Plains, TMW
  • Ability to connect reporting to other departments and the business as a whole
  • Ability to translate data to presentations
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with the ability to evaluate current situation, respond quickly to changing requirements, and execute accordingly
  • Strong sense of urgency coupled with robust organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced setting,
  • Agility; ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to champion business needs in a collaborative manner to colleagues
