Job Description

You belong at Dayamp; Ross.Manager, Creditamp; CollectionsFull-timeSomerville, NBThe Manager of Creditamp; Collections is responsible for leading a group of Creditamp; Collections Specialists and ensuring the consistent application of collection processes, with the goal of optimizing collections and minimizing losses. This position has a high focus on minimizing the Company #39;s exposure to loss and protection of the receivables. Timely collection of outstanding monies to increase our working capital is critical.How You #39;ll Help

  • Assist with management of accounts receivable for Canada, based on a thorough understanding of the pricing, rates, billing, sales, and operations of the Company
  • Monitors and ensures consistency and conformity to the corporate credit policy
  • Monitor daily collections productivity and outstanding receivables
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements process improvements and quality reviews to improve collection activities
  • Uses information from customers to determine root cause of issues and work with internal departments and sales to set up improvement process to enable payment within agreed upon terms
  • Identifies early warning signs of cash flow issues and acts to limit exposure
  • Investigate and resolve escalated customer credit and collection issues
  • Acts as a coach and role model
  • Assists with and conducts weekly account reviews, identifies and develop strategies for the resolution of troubled accounts to minimize loss
  • Conducts yearly performance reviewsamp; develops succession plans
  • Identifies team needs to ensure set up for success (ie. Resourcing, tools, training, etc.)
  • Acts a coach and promotes a culture that fosters a positive and productive work environment
  • Liaise across departments, including with the Sales and Administration teams to communicate credit decisions, ensure timely payment
  • Other related duties as may be required
Your Skillsamp; Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, Finance or relevant field. A suitable combination of education and experience may also be considered
  • A minimum of 5 years of collections experience and 2 years in a supervisory position.
  • CCP or other relevant credit designation required, CPA a strong asset
  • Credit adjudication experience an asset
  • Project management and transportation industry experience considered an asset
  • Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to create strong team engagement, assist in establishing team and individual objectives and manage performance
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written; persuasive, confident, with ability to articulate an appropriate message to various audiences clearly and concisely
  • Strong MS Suite skills; Outlook, Excel; must possess the aptitude for learning new programs; AS400, Truckmate, Oracle, SideTrade, Power BI - an asset;
  • Resilient and persistent to resolve outstanding AR between external and internal stakeholders while maintaining the customer relationship
  • Must be adaptable with a strong proficiency to learn new programs, platforms, terminology and be proactive in finding efficiencies
  • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and navigate difficult conversation in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple customers.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work both independently and to collaborate with others to meet customer expectations
  • Understanding of freight flow, pricing, and order to cash process
  • Strong problem solving skills with an ability to proactively identify upcoming cash flow headwinds
  • Excellent relationship building skills with an ability to champion business needs in a collaborative manner to colleagues
