It is a future where cutting-edge scienceand proven farm practices meet, ensuring the health of pigs, producers, and consumers for generations tocome.OpportunityFast Genetics is currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill a permanent full-time position as aMiller at Northern Feeds. This position would work the afternoon milling shift Monday-Friday and reportto the Feedmill Manager.This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions, but is not limitedto:

  • Receiving incoming ingredients, weighing trucks, sampling/testing of ingredients and processing
forms,
  • Greasing and adjusting machinery as per the schedule and performing basic repairs as required,
  • Keeping warehouse and mill yard clean and organized including sweeping, shoveling, and picking
up spilled feed,
  • Booking deliveries of ingredients to avoid outages,
  • Completing administrative tasks, such as, entering and sequencing feed batches,
  • Other duties as requested.
The successful candidate would ideally possess the following experience and qualifications:
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills,
  • A forklift certificate would be considered an asset, but training is provided,
  • Experience working with computers,
  • Ability to communicate professionally both orally and written.
  • Self-motivated and reliable,
  • Comfortable with heights and climbing bins,
  • Ability to work flexible hours,
  • Class 1A license would be considered an asset, but training can be provided,
  • Shares in Fast Genetics core values.
