Job Description

MATRIX Aviation Management is a national company providing logistics and aviation management services to a diverse range of clients in the resource and service sectors, focusing on safety, transparency, and cost effectiveness. Wec are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Aviation Administrator to join our team at a camp job located in North-West British Columbia. BC. This seasonal position plays a critical role in the smooth functioning of our aviation services, responsible for supporting all administrative functions related to our flight operations.The successful candidate will work closely with our Flight Operations and Dispatchers, to support overall efficiency and will ensure required tracking and reporting compliance is adhered to, in support of the operational needs of our flight crew and logistical operations. This position requires someone who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Input data related to flight scheduling and crew assignments into the aviation management system.
  • Assist in coordinating aircraft maintenance and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation related to flight operations, including logs, permits, and safety reports.
  • Quality control of passenger and cargo manifests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the aviation team with logistical coordination for flights, including ground support arrangements.
  • Assist with safety audits and the upkeep of safety management systems.
  • Communicate with pilots, ground crew, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth operation of flights.
  • Manage and organize schedules for training and certification of aviation staff.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as required to support the aviation functions on the project.
RequirementsEducation and Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in aviation management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in an aviation environment or related field is an asset, but not mandatory.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Formal training in aviation operations, safety management or logistics is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with aviation management software is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with different stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Understanding of aviation regulations and safety protocols is preferable but not required.
