Job Description

Position: Warehouse Associate - Crate BuilderLocation: Uxbridge, ON Salary: $17 - $21 hour (depending on experience)Industry: Manufacturing / Warehouse / PackerEmployment Term: Fulltime / Permanent Rolesamp; Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for constructing and packing crates of various sizes and materials, ranging from cardboard boxes to large wooden crates.
  • Use woodworking tools including panel saw and table saw to cut and shape wooden materials for crate construction.
  • Assemble crates according to specifications, ensuring they are structurally sound and meet quality standards.
  • Utilize pneumatic nail guns or staple guns to securely fasten crate components together.
  • Pack items into crates, ensuring proper placement and use of cushioning materials to protect contents during transit.
  • Inspect completed crates to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Report any defects or issues with crates to supervisors for resolution.
  • Complete necessary shipping and customs documentation as required.
  • Additional related duties.
Qualificationsamp; Experience:
  • Proven experience in crate building, woodworking, and packing within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using woodworking tools such as panel saw, table saw, pneumatic nail guns, and staple guns.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Counterbalance forklift experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbalamp; written.
