On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Client #39;s team on a 12-month contract basis. This role is fully remote and the client is based in Victoria, BC.Summary of the Role:Our Client is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead IT projects within the public sector. The role involves overseeing project planning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination to support a large-scale Treasury Management System modernization initiative.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

• Manage IT projects, including planning, execution, and risk assessment.
• Develop project charters, master project plans, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate resources and contractors to achieve project objectives.
• Engage diverse stakeholders and ensure effective project communication.
• Oversee the modernization and replacement of mainframe systems with a new Treasury Management Solution (TMS).

Core Requirements:

• Minimum three (3) years of experience as an IT Project Manager within the last seven years.
• Experience managing IT projects within the public sector (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
• Strong experience in risk management and stakeholder engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field OR relevant professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMC, CMA, CGA, CFA).

Desired Skillsamp; Experience:

• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation (preferred).
• Experience working on mainframe migration or treasury modernization projects.
• Strong ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Familiarity with banking industry standards and financial transactions.
• Experience with public sector procurement and project governance.

Terms:

• Employment Type: 12-month contract.
• Work Location: Fully remote within BC.
