Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out operation and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position may require candidates to work a 7-days on/7-days off 12-hour rotation (days and nights).Job Responsibilities:

• Inspire and drive employee engagement, teamwork, productivity, performance, and continuous improvement;
• Accomplishes results by assisting with communication of job expectations; plans, monitoring job results; adherence to company systems, policies, and procedures;

• Communicate schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, and service vehicles according to requests, specifications, or needs using two-way radios;
• Serve as central communication for mine production and safety, including emergency events;
• Capture, validate, and record mine site data, shift, and production reports;
• Monitor and direct traffic and heavy equipment through video cameras and modular system to ensure efficient use;
• Enter computer information to facilitate decision-making for mine management and engineering;

• Monitor the progress of daily activities, deal with any identified obstacles that limit the productivity of the crew;
• Collaborates and works with employees in all areas of Operations to maximize business performance; this is especially true for outcomes of plant performance and ultimately quality concentrate production;
• Assist Mine Operations Supervisor with coordination of pit activities and crews to execute mining plans efficiently and cost-effectively;

• Communicates freely and effectively with cross-shifts and management personnel;

• Understand and promote the Short-Term Incentive (STI) and how each team member impacts upon it;

• Participates in safety, health, and environmental programs and maintains a clean and safe work environment;

• Other duties as assigned;

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision
• Excellent, work ethic, and attendance record
• Able to work 12-hour shifts, 7 on, 7 off (days and nights)

Education & Experience:

• Secondary School (Required)

License:

• Driver’s License (Required)
