Company description We look after your property as if it were our own. Safe Keeping Property Maintenance is an Alberta Corporation. We do everything related to property maintenance including home inspections, lawn care, snow removal, general maintenance & repairs, debris removal, professional cleaning, organization, house sitting, and much more.Job descriptionWe are a property maintenance company that looks after homes in the West Edmonton area. Must have own transportation to get to the job site, or at least our West Edmonton home based office (149th Street & Stony Plain Road).We are looking for hard working individuals that are looking for casual work.Primary duties are two separate job categories, General Labourer & House Cleaner. If you can do both thats a plus; more hours for you and less people we have to hire.The General Labourer position requires cleaning out abandoned homes of furniture and debris. Its just like moving, only everything is garbage, and gets thrown into a dumpster. Its physically demanding depending on the property and furniture in it, and debris in the yard/garage.MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT, CARRY, AND THROW 50LBS ON YOUR OWN.Other responsibilities of the General Labourer includes lawn maintenance during the summer (mowing & trimming lawns), and snow removal during the winter (shoveling driveways and walkways with a shovel and using an ice scraper).General repairs are also required, but are very general in the sense of installing handrails, smoke detectors, light bulbs, plumbing fixtures, heating vents, etc. If you can operated a drill and have a brain youre good. Its not that hard and can be taught.The Cleaner position requires cleaning the entire home from top to bottom after the furniture and debris have been removed into a marketable condition (meaning the house/property will be put on the market to be sold); everything in the home must be very clean so it can be shown by a realtor and sold.We look after distressed/abandoned properties for the major banks, as well as relocation properties for investors, so cleaning is to a high marketable/showing standard.Both positions are ideal for somebody that is not requiring a set amount of hours, is physically fit, and just looking for casual work; a second job per se, or a casual job whilst in college.We will get a call from the bank asking us to clean out a house every two weeks or so. The bank gives us 5 days to complete the debris removal and cleaning of the home. Its flexible when we do it, as long as its within those 5 days.If youre interested in snow removal, there is work whenever it snows.Since we are not offering a set amount of hours and we are living in 2022 we understand you having another job. If youre hired and we call you and you arent available thats totally fine. We will just call the next person we hired to see if they are available. Its a casual job, and were pretty easy going.Job Type: CasualSalary: $17.00 per hourBenefits:
