Job Description

Big O Tires Westbank is looking for an experienced Tire Technician(s) to join our growing team! Candidate must be able to work on weekends.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Studs tires in preparation for snow, and also in anticipation of weather change
  • Performs experiments on tires to confirm their durability and possible cause of failure
  • Recommends to clients good driving and tire maintenance practices
  • Ensures that minimum standard of safety is maintained in the technician’s bay
  • Retreads tires which previously have been labeled off the road tires,
  • Maintains a clean working area that meets minimum environmental requirements’ regulations
  • Ensures appropriate dismounting and mounting of tires
Requirements:
  • A minimum of High School Diploma, but having a certification course in tire technology is considered an edge
  • Possess physical strength to be able to lift heavy items
  • A valid driver’s license and a good record of driving
  • Effective interpersonal and proven customer service skills
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Proven time management, organization, and time management skills, as well as exceptional ability to work effectively within a team setting
  • Ability to display professionalism, maintain quality focus, and pay attention to detail
  • Technical knowledge of tire production and repair technology is a must.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, TemporarySalary: From $18.00 per hourAdditional pay:
