Job Description

Are you an experienced Security Officer with a valid BC Security Worker’s License looking to work with a dedicated, Vancouver Island-based teamOceanside Security is locally owned and operated. Check park gates, washrooms, sheds, playgrounds, parking lots, campgrounds, clear vehicles out after closing time, gently escort people out after the park has closed.10pm - 6am (overnight, 8h shift)Mobile Guard - General Responsibilities:

  • Observe, record, and report activities and security incidents while on shift;
  • Ensure property and personnel are safe and secure;
  • Conduct foot patrols, including standing and climbing stairs;
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and the public;
  • Provide a visual security presence around businesses;
  • Report and escalate any site safety concerns;
  • React and resolve any emergency situations as directed;
  • Drive a Oceanside Security vehicle to conduct patrols
  • Transportation allowance per km.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • A valid BC Security Worker’s License is required;
  • A Valid BC Drivers License.
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Able to work various evenings and nights, sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to use computers and smartphones with ease;
  • Strong communication skills, with an outgoing personality;
  • Ability to write clear and concise incident reports;
  • Must be physically fit with the ability to stand and walk patrols, climb stairs, etc;
  • A calm demeanour and sound decision-making skills;
  • Outstanding dress and deportment;
  • Able to work flexible hours at various job sites;
