ADMINISTRATORResponsibilities

  • Ensure the secure and efficient storage of data; who can access data, how data is protected and
distributed and proper backup and restoration of data
  • Ensure installation of phone systems, faxes, printers and other related IT and communications
equipment
  • Apply technical theories and principals to provide technical support on moderately complex
implementation projects
  • Configure computer systems and diagnose and resolve network problems
  • Investigate and resolve technical complaints relating to IT hardware
  • Resolve complex user problems involving hardware and software issues with a sense of urgency
  • Coordinate IT requirements for new employees including building access, mobile requirements and
network, computer, and email access
  • Escalate problems or issues of a strategic or operational nature and evaluate the risks or
opportunities associated with potential solutions to ensure the most appropriate course of action istakenExperience & Education
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in IT and/or remote support
  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent with a focus in Computer Science, Technology, or a related
field
  • Relevant certification is an asset (e.g., A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST),
etc.)Skills
  • Detailed knowledge of company-related software applications, issues, and methods of resolution
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness and sound judgment to resolve problems of a semi-routine technical
nature
  • Strong user focus and the ability to work with employees at all levels
  • Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervisor as well as a in a team environment
