The Agricultural Services Department is legislated to conduct its activities under the Weed Control Act, the Agricultural Pests Act, the Soil Conservation Act and the Livestock Diseases Act. The Department supports the Agricultural Service Board to meet and make recommendations to Council.Education and Experience:Certificate or Diploma in Office or Business Administration3-5 years Administration ExperienceMust possess and maintain a current Alberta drivers license and clean drivers abstractExperience working in municipal setting an assetAgriculture experience an assetTypical duties may include:Providing reception services by greeting visitors to the office, answering the phoneAssisting County residents with ASB programs including but not limited to Farm Family, weed inspection processes, Rural Extension Programs, Problem Wildlife Control, and 100 years of Farming.Performing financial support tasks such as Scanning timesheets, AP/AR and digital filing, processing Visa statements, and completing purchase orders and coding.Designing promotional materials including banners, website content, and tradeshow items.Assisting with health and safety inspections and procedures.Attend meetings on behalf of the County such as:Peace Country Classic Organizational CommitteeAlberta AgricultureSupport special projects such as tours, Farm Family, and 100 years of Farming.Provide logistical services for projects, special events and promotions.This position works 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pmTheQuick Apply
