Job Description

Fluid Transfer LabourerJob Category: Field OperationsFull-TimeLocationsGrande Prairie, AB, CANRed Deer, AB, CANJob DetailsDescriptionJob PurposeTo work in our field operations under the supervision and directions of the fluid manager on site. This is an entry-level position with moderate physical workload. Duties entail initial rig up of fluid pumping systems, perform fluid transfer as per customers’ requirements and final rig out, inventory and release of equipment from the site. This position has an exceptional opportunity for advancement. As a Fluid transfer labourer, you will be required to work scheduled shift work on a rotating basis.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide labour and equipment operation, assisting in the initial rig in of fluid transfer pumps, lines and equipment as required
  • Monitor pumped product fluid, line pressures and integrity
  • To maintain and service equipment in the field environment and to ensure all processes are carried out following company quality and safety management system to a level of competency set by the company
  • Ensure that all mechanical operating systems are maintained to a safe and operational level following the company and industry standards, quality and safety management systems
  • Ensure equipment appearance is presentable and viewed by clients as Premium Equipment in its presence
  • To assist and perform duties during fracing operations as directed by the Fluid Manager
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures when operating all field equipment and vehicles
  • Actively participate in learning the basics of all equipment
  • Attend any internal or external courses the company requires in conjunction with duties that will increase competency and efficiency
  • Enforce and adhere to all Operating Company policies
  • Assist in rig out and inventory of equipment before moving off
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications/CompetenciesThe individual in this role will have:
  • Prior Fluid transfer or oilfield experience as an asset
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be physically fit and must be able to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • ATV/UTV training is an asset
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and interact responsibly with coworkers at all times
  • Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic operating systems
  • Self-motivated, committed to the job and Safety orientated
  • Able to interact and perform successfully within a team environment
  • Flexible attitude to hours of employment and work conditions
  • Prioritize workload to best suit company demands
  • Ability to manage change
  • Good communication skills
The successful candidate will be expected to reside in the locations designated area and provide after-hours coverage.
