Job Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:GENERALMaintain confidentiality of all proprietary company information, processes, and equipment, confidentiality of all personal employee information, and all client informationMaintain effective communication with your Operations Manager, Operators, cross shifts, and client consultantsCoordination of equipment and personnel on well sites and facilities with Operations Manager and Facilities CoordinatorEnsuring all equipment and vehicles are maintained in a safe and acceptable conditionIdentifying, evaluating, and implementing operating practice improvementsContributing ideas to enhance production and lower costsFostering a positive and productive work atmospherePROJECTSAssist with all aspects of packing up at the shop facilityTravel to siteWith the guidance from the Supervisor, the Operator will fill out the pre-trip form if driving a company vehicleAssist with rig-in under Supervisor’s directionOperate mobile/semi-permanent equipment once the Operator has been trained on SOPs (See Standard Operating Procedures documents)Perform chemical testing and tracking of fluid volumes once approved by the SupervisorChange filters, transfer chemicals, and transfer fluids as required (see SOP documents)Inspect and perform hourly equipment walk around while on the job siteOngoing maintenance and cleanliness of all Aureus equipmentMinor repairs to equipment as neededAssist with rig-outAssist with de-mob and equipment clean-upAny duties deemed safe and necessary by the on-site SupervisorSHOP FACILITIESFollow the direction of the Facility CoordinatorMaintain cleanliness of facility and equipmentAssist in yard cleanliness and maintenanceHSEEnsure a safe and healthy work environment for everyoneFollow all health and safety rules and regulationsBe familiar and comply with Safe Work Practices, adhering to company policy and Safe Job Procedures, Code of Practices, and Job Safety AnalysisUse and maintain the designated safety equipment as required to minimize or control hazards, and ensure all safety equipment is readily available and utilizedBe familiar with the location, type, and operation of emergency equipment at each jobsiteEnsure that all accidents, incidents, injuries, illness, potential hazards, and unsafe work practices are reported as per company policy and procedureRead all bulletins and policies on Safety SyncFulfill all responsibilities outlined in the HSE Manual for this positionParticipate in daily safety meetingsFill out one Hazard ID/Near Miss/Task Observation per shiftObligation to refuse unsafe work practicesEnsure you are Fit For Duty and properly trained to perform your tasks safely and if not, ask for helpParticipate in all training offered by the company, either on or off the worksiteUse and maintain the designated safety equipment as required to minimize or control hazardsBe familiar with the location, type, and operation of emergency equipment at each job siteParticipation in Emergency Response drills on siteParticipate in all training offered by the company, either on or off the worksiteOTHEREffectively communication with field teamSend holiday and time off requests to the Operations Manager and HREnsure knowledge of equipment and procedures is current and learn competenciesEnsure own certifications are current (H2S, FA, clean card, online orientation etc.)Refer to Inspection/Forms Matrix (HSE-F-4.1) for frequency and responsibility informationACCOMMODATIONS/TRAVELIt is the Operators responsibility to travel to the companies home base for all project travelWhile staying in company condos, follow posted condo rulesWhile staying in camp or hotels, follow facility rules and regulationsAbide by the rules and guidelines laid out in the Accommodation PolicyAbide by the rules and guidelines laid out in the Corporate Travel Policy when travel is requiredLT/HT travelFollow the company’s Journey Management proceduresHOURS/SHIFTSTypically work 12 hour shifts in the field (8 hour shop days) plus cross shift and travel (possibly)May be asked to work day or night shiftsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:Education and experience in water treatment or related fieldOil & Gas Operating background preferredMust possess and maintain a clean driver’s abstract.Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.Class 1 driver’s license, air brake endorsement, and understanding of heavy equipment is an assetMust maintain all requires safety tickets; including, but not limited to: First Aid, H2S Alive, WHIMIS, CSOMechanical and technical aptitudeExperience working with hazardous products or dangerous goods is an assetSKILLS & EXPECTATIONS:COMMUNICATION: Active Listening, Friendliness and Respect, Open-Minded, Clear/Clean Written skillsTEAMWORK SKILLS: Dependable, Respectful, Collaborative, Builds Relationships with employees and management.TIME MANAGEMENT: Using efficient organizational skills you must be able to effectively multitask several projects and several stakeholders.Displays a genuine appreciation for protocols, discretion, and professionalism, and is able to accept and assume responsibility and maintain confidentiality.Excellent internal and external communication skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to work in a diverse and team-oriented environmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be physically fit and able to pass our pre-employment screeningPhysical requirements include bending, safely lifting to 50 lbs, working in a noisy and sometimes dusty environmentAble to climb ladders and stairsWilling to work outdoors and in inclement weather.Travel to remote regions on winter roads with potential to work aloneAble to work nights, weekends, holidaysAble to comply with Aureus’ drug & alcohol-free and harassment-free work environmentQuick Apply
