Job Description

Like a diamond, we look for people who will grow stronger and shine brighter in a fast pace and challenging environment.We have two contract positions (8-months) for a General laborer in Clairmont, AB.The General Laborer role is one of the most important roles to Black Diamond. These individuals are responsible for maintaining and repairing our equipment while delivering first-class customer service. The expectations for fast and professional service will be the highest as you will be the face- to -face representative and contact to our customers in the field.Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on our rental fleet. This incorporates both surface rental equipment and accommodation gear in the yard and in the field.
  • General maintenance skills an asset
  • Operating heavy Equipment In yard
  • Daily cleaning and organization of shop
  • Tracking of equipment on Computer program
  • Follow all Black Diamond’s policies and procedures
  • Follow all Black Diamonds safety policies
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Work in a team Atmosphere
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Valid H2S, Standard First Aid, & Fall Arrest an asset
  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail
  • Must have valid non GDL driver’s license and be able to provide a clean driver abstract
  • Completion of secondary school is usually required
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
  • An ability to communicate professionally with clients, staff, and management.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions
  • Working outside in all weather conditions
  • Frequent travel to customer site
  • On call for designated weekends
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to complete physically demanding duties, including but not limited to standing for long periods, repetitive movement, and lifting
