Job Description

Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, this position is a key member of the payroll team in Financial Services. Payroll Clerks work closely with other members of the payroll team and liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities Include but not limited to:Payroll processing and payroll adjustmentsPerforming manual calculations of pay and deductions as necessaryAssisting in preparation of monthly reports, remittance, and payroll journal entriesAssist with enquiries on earnings and benefitsAnalyzing and reconciling accountsQUALIFICATIONS:Business or Accounting Diploma and two years related payroll experience, or equivalentAdvanced computer skills with experience in MS Office 365 and KRONOS. AS400 and Unit 4 would be an assetData entry and customer service experienceCertification in payroll designation program, or enrolled and near completionHours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.The County of Grande Prairie recognizes and values the principles of fair hiring practices.
